The Race is On

Decked out in their finery, residents gathered around the big screen to watch the race and cheer on the favourites as Gold Trip took out the prize.

The celebrations continued with a delicious afternoon tea, complete with bubbles, all enjoyed in the activity room which was beautifully decorated by our talented art and craft group who created a special horse race mural for the day.

When it came to fashions on the field, our glamourous residents were under starters orders, and chomping at the bit. The standard was high, and it was a close race, but the extremely elegant Val and the decidedly dapper Ian came up on the inside to take the win for best dressed lady and gentleman.

No major purse in this race, but we hear the chocolates and flowers went down a treat!
